REPAIR WORK POLICY
 
  1. Repair work is charged on a “Time and Materials” basis. There is an 4 hour minimum for all new clients, which includes both time actually spent on the job, as well as one way travel to site, and time spent to collect materials needed and haul debris away from site.
  2. Our standard labor rate is figured at $135.00 per hour for a crew of 2 men (mason and helper). The minimum 4-hour rate is $540.00 plus any materials required. As a general policy, we are not set up to send only one man out for repairs.
  3. There is an upfront charge of $75.00, (payable by check or credit card, and not deductible from any subsequent contracted work), to take digital pictures of each job site. This allows us to give the client a rough idea of the time the repairs are likely to take, and allows us to be aware of site conditions and come prepared with materials or equipment we may need. We will schedule, within one week of your call to have one of our office staff run by the job to take digital pictures and bring these back to the office. From these we will try to give the client an estimate of the time needed to complete the repair. Or, at no charge, we accept 35mm or digital pictures from clients to bid from, however, our bid is only as good as the quality and reliability of the pictures supplied to us.
  4. Our mason will bring powerwasher with him to clients job. We find that often, before we can do a repair or match existing mortar, we have to clean the masonry to get a good look at its condition and the true color of the mortar joints. If the repair requires this step, we will do a powerwashing and charge for the time in the overall job price.
